The story behind our Smokehouse meats
Steve’s Meat Market in Ellendale, Minnesota has been producing Lunds & Byerlys Smokehouse smoked and cured meat products for over 21 years, since 1993.
Started by Steve Eaker in 1973, this award-winning meat market is known for making some of the best locally-produced meat products. The walls of their retail shop in Ellendale (80 miles south of the Twin Cities) prove their expertise, showing off more than 350 state and national awards that they have received from meat and sausage judging competitions since 1976.
Today, Steve’s wife Donnavon and daughter Rachael continue this first-ever partnership. Rachael is the operations manager, making over 40 different varieties of summer sausages, smoked or cooked links, snack sticks, turkey products, chicken sausage links, uncured bacons, and deli sausage products for Lunds and Byerly’s stores. She continues her father’s passion for producing only the best for all their customers and enjoys working daily in a true family business. Rachael takes great pride in putting the label of Lunds & Byerlys on each and every package that goes north to the Twin Cities region.
Most of the Lunds & Byerlys Smokehouse products are gluten free and contain no MSG. Look for them in the meat department.
